As you all know, Gemini Soul's "Sound Stage Performance" was supposed to air last night on Jazzcult TV braodcast on Cable Channel 29 in San Francisco...well for those of you hoping to have watched the show, we apologize that there was a mistake at the station and someone played the wrong tape for the Jazz Cult TV program. We've been told by the producer that the Gemini Soul special is now "supposed" to air next Friday - May 2nd @ 6 PM.

Gemini Soul recorded, edited and produced this particular video, delivering a finished product to the show's producer. All someone had to do was put in the tape and press play, so it's particularly frustrating when you can't rely on people to follow through on the simplest task.

Rather than wait for someone to screw up again, you can watch the video clips, plus bonus footage at the following Gemini Soul affiliated sites:

On Friday - April 25th @ 6 PM Gemini Soul's "Sound Stage Performance"
will air on the TV show Jazzcult TV broadcast on Cable Channel 29 in San Francisco, other areas should check their local listings.

This is the first "Sound Stage Performance" of Gemini Soul taped at Soundwave Studios in Oakland, CA on April 10, 2008. Jazzcult TV with host Linda Lam broadcast on Cable Channel 29, will feature Gemini Soul performing material from their fourth release "The Nefertiti Xperience."
This show includes performaces of "Radical," "Sun Goddess," "River Nile,"
"Nefertiti Xperience," and "Black Venus." This isn't your typical jazz; this is Cyber Jazz!

Gemini Soul completes first music video for the single "Radical" taken from their new jazz/funk fusion CD "The Nefertiti Xperience." The video was directed by Andre Ajamu Akinyele and edited by Jon O'Bergh. Their goal was to create something independent with a creative edge, something you don't see in many indie jazz genre videos.

Gemini Soul recently performed at The Embassy Suites - Burlingame, CA and due to it's success the hotel is considering having Gemini Soul as a regular act on Thursday nights called "Thursday Night Jazz." Depending on the contractual agreement and compensation involved; Gemini Soul will be thrilled to perform as this would be a great opportunity; so keep your fingers crossed and check back for further details and possible dates. Also, The Embassy Suites have asked Gemini Soul to perform for their upcoming Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday - May 11th, so bring your mother's and the entire family for some incredible brunch and good music.

Speaking of gigs, Gemini Soul will be performing at one of San Jose's top downtown jazz spots The Hedly Club Lounge located at Hotel De Anza, which could turn into a regualr gig as well. This performace will take place June 20th at 8:30 PM  with two shows that evening and it's FREE; so, reserve that date for an enjoyable evening of jazz/funk fusion with Gemini Soul! As you all know, Herbie is a major influence on Gemini Soul and we're so glad that he continues to pave the way for jazz fusion artists, such as ourselves. In a market dominated by Hip-Hop/Pop/and Rock music (mainstream), his win proved that there is truly an appreciation for jazz in a market over saturated with music that makes you shake your head in shame...sometimes. Gemini Soul have completed their fourth CD titled "The Nefertiti Xperience," inspired by Queen Nefertiti of ancient Egypt and musically influenced by Herbie Hancock's critically acclaimed jazz fusion album
"Head Hunters" and bassist MeShell Ndegeocello. The Nefertiti Xperience
features 13 new tracks including two cover tunes "Chance To Grow" written by Wendy & Lisa and "Compared To What?" written by Gene McDaniel. The latter resembles MeShell's version from the movie Soundtrack "Talk To Me." Gemini Soul's new CD will guarantee to start a new jazz revolution within the music industry.
